Keeping
you safe is high priority for the ActiveTrips crew.
We start by answering some basic questions: What
clothing and gear should you bring to protect yourself
from the elements? What precautions should you
take if you have a health condition? Do you need a
malaria preventative for that jungle trek?
As your adventure unfolds, we give you training and tips
for any new experience. You won't get on a horse,
into a raft, or even out onto a hiking trail until you
feel prepared and we're satisfied that you're ready.
All outdoor travel and activities present some risk.
With the precautions our trained guides take, and with
scrupulous attention to maintenance of gear and
providing proper information, we minimize that risk.
We also educate you about common outdoor problems, and
request that you help others in your group be aware of
potential dehydration, heat or cold problems, and
staying alert to your surroundings.

In the unlikely event that medical treatment is
required, our experienced guides will assist. Each
trip includes at least one guide who is a certified
Wilderness First Responder. This EMT type training
insures that the best emergency medical care is
available to you at all times. And that means you
can relax and enjoy your trip!
